Pondock Shoot

As Pondock can be a bit tricky to find on your first visit, members who have not been before (when it was run as a clay shoot) can meet John Poole, myself and others at the Beeches Toby carvery in Keighley at either 8am for breakfast or 9am when we leave and can follow to Pondock.

Also, just to remind you that on Thursday 25th at 6:30 pm there is a meeting at Micks house to discuss the spring national. The club is after volunteers to help run the event and/or donate raffle prizes, if you are able to help can you let Mick or Ian Hall know especially if you are unable to attend the meeting.
Following the meeting there will be a curry night at a local restaurant.

Pondock

Great news- the club has managed to get the lease for Pondock ground. This ground meets all our requirements and will create another shoot date each month. As discussed at the AGM it will be purely black powder only and is covered by club insurance.
The first date we are shooting will be 28th of this month and then the 3rd Sunday of each month.
Also, as discussed at the AGM, if Pondock proves successful the club is in the position to purchase an additional trap and recommendations as or when it occurs will be welcome.
Prior to the shoot on the 28th I will email directions out and start times, but currently if nothing changes we will be starting about 10 o’clock with a few of us meeting for breakfast at 8ish at the Keighley Toby carvery, so anyone who is unsure on location can follow.

The new Brass Monkeys Hammer Gun comp was well attended last Sunday with 9 shooters and the trophy went to Mick Rush, with thanks to Ian Hall for setting some challenging clays.

thanks
Mark
