The long overdue Yorkshire Powder Burners AGM will be held at the Pondock Shooting Ground after the Christmas Cup Shoot on Sunday the 8th December 2019.
The Agenda will involve:
Electing the officers of the club and four other commitee members. 
A run through the financial accounts.
Any Other Business.

Sporting Cup Competition

Dear Members
This Sunday the 11th August 2019 the club is holding the annual 20 bird Sporting Cup Competition at Pondock. The comp is open to any muzzleloader with breech loading black powder shotguns also welcome to be shot alongside the competition.
With Monday being the ‘Glorious 12th’ the plan is to have a ‘Fantastic 11th’ and put on a grouse style (as far as the equipment and landscape allows) competition. We will be on site from 9.30 with shooting planned to start at 10.30

Extra Tong Evening Shoot

With this weeks evening shoot at Tong being cancelled due to poor weather we will be holding an extra Tong evening shoot next Thursday the 9th May 2019.
If there are any issues/concerns over the weather nearer the time please contact Mick Rush or John Poole for further details.

Black Powder

Dear Members

The club now has in stock a good amount of Vesuvit LC Black Powder (medium) which we are making available to club members at the discounted rate of £28 per kilo or £15 per half kilo.
Interested parties can purchase the powder directly from John Poole at Pondock or Tong on shoot dates or from myself at Pondock on shoot dates.
To make a purchase please telephone John on 07762 244428 or myself on 07779 279567 to place your order and please make sure you have your black powder licence with you on collection.

*** This item can only be purchased by black powder licence holders who must produce their licence on the day of collection***

Membership Fees

Dear Members

Club membership fees are now due, these can either be paid at the upcoming club shoots or posted to John Poole.

The fees for 2019 remain the same as last year, £20 for a standard membership or £10 for a senior membership (60 yrs +). Any cheques need to be made payable to ‘The Yorshire Powder Burners’.

Christmas Cup Results

We had excellent weather and a good turnout for the Chrismas Cup Muzzle Loading Competition.

The comp was twenty birds shot between three traps from a central stand, though hazy smoke filled sunshine, very Waterloo witha Yorshire twist.

Gordon Robinson was the only competitor who didnt have difficulties with a particular trap. As such Gordon ended three shots clear with a well deserved win.

A big thanks to all the competitors, the far prettier half’s of Mick, John and Ian for their efforts preparing and serving the food and also Mark the farmer for the lend of the Landy to transport everything.

Christmas Cup

Due to the Christmas Cup Competition starting at 10am on Sunday we will be on site setting up from 9am. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Christmas Muzzle Loading Shoot

Please remember that this Sunday (9th December 2018) the club is holding the Christmas Muzzle Loading Competition at Pondock. There is prize money for 1st place and prizes for 2nd & 3rd places, there will also be hot food and drinks available after the competition.
 
We will also be holding a 1/2oz muzzle loading knockout competition to end proceedings for a little extra fun.
 
The comp starts at 10.00 prompt so please make sure you are on site in good time. Lets have a good turnout for the last club shoot of what has been a very successful year!
